Rich in Love
While I was tucking him into bed last night, my four-year-old son asked me what the word “rich” means.
I told him that rich means to have a lot of something. We say some foods are rich in flavor. I told him that our family is rich in love. But I explained to him that usually when someone talks about being rich, they are usually talking about having a lot of money.
Then in only the way an innocent child can do, my boy says, “Dad, I would rather be rich in love than rich in money.”
I gave him a big kiss and told him that I would too.
