Thanksgiving weekend
Ended the holiday weekend by coming down with a fever on Sunday night. So I missed work and laid in bed yesterday. Feeling a little better today, but am behind at the office. Here is a quick update.
I really thought that this was going to be the weekend that the dry spell would be broken. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving, a snowstorm knocked out our power for a few hours, so the house was dark and quite. The kids were asleep and my wife and I were playing cards by candlelight in the living room in front of the fire. The house grew colder so we brewed some tea in the fireplace and snuggled in close to stay warm. The power did not come back on until about 1:00 in the morning. It was a fun and romantic evening.
Thanksgiving was a wonderful day. There was much merriment and the kids enjoyed playing with their cousins
The Friday after Thanksgiving, my wife was flirty and in a very good mood as we decorated the house for Christmas. She so much as told me that she was ready for “some action”. I told her that we could wrap some Christmas presents that night and I would join her for a bath so that I could wash her back and massage her feet. She gave a little coo to that thought, and even reached out and touched my cock (even that is a small rarity, she actually watched me take a shower and asked when I shaved myself downstairs (answer: like five weeks ago)). I was excited all day. I had thoughts of making love (and how I would start my diary entry that the dry spell had ended). As evening rolled around and we started wrapping gifts, I started making suggestions that maybe I should start the bathwater, but it was not to be. It was the first time I had mentioned it since early in the day, but she said that I was pressuring her. When we finally got in bed we talked and she told me that she still just did not feel right “down there”. I asked her if she had read the articles that I had printed out for her and she said that she had not, but that she would that weekend.
Saturday was a fun day, but that spark of sexual flirtation was gone. On Sunday, I came down with a fever and missed work Monday. As of this morning, Tuesday, the articles are still laying on her bedside table unread. At least she had not thrown them out.
