Eyes window to soul

As I have crossed over the threshold of 30, my appreciation of women and the feminine form have definitely changed. I think in my teens and twenties, my definition of beauty was limited to what I saw in magazines and Victoria’s Secret catalogs. I really did not have much of an appreciation for older women (at that time probably defined as someone older than 35), someone that was slightly more than “well nourished”, or whose chest (or ass) did not seem to fit my limited definition of attractive.

While I was at the football game last night, watching the Chiefs lose to the Pats, I was studying the women around me, reflecting on these changes in myself. I came to a few determinations, a few of which I will share here.

1) Eyes really are the windows to the soul. Under the bright lights of the football game, there were two younger women (twenties) standing in front of me. They both must have had light brown eyes, but under the lights they absolutely glowed amber. Their eyes were beguiling. There was one shorter woman, probably all of 5’2” or 3”, of apparently some Hispanic decent and a taller, Caucasian woman. Both were there with their significant others. The shorter woman had on what at one time I might have considered too much eye make-up, but with her amber eyes aglow, I was riveted to her. She had a bulky coat on so I could not see her body, but her high, prominent cheeks were rosy, her lips full and those glowing eyes held me in a trance. Fortunately for me, the field of play forced me to see her in slight profile for most of the night. I just kept studying her, definitely the best part of the game. She caught me making eye contact a couple of times and each time shot me a warm smile. What a cutie! For some reason, the combination of the eye color and that eye make-up just pulled me into her.

Thinking about her eyes caused me to study the eyes of most of the women standing near me. It was fun to be able to watch the expression of the eyes change as the game ebbed and flowed. There was a woman standing near me that was decked out in full Chiefs apparel, whose eyes were absolutely aglow as the Chiefs took the lead early in the game, and whose eyes you could see dim for the night with an interception in the end zone right before halftime. It was a fun experience, though I think the bright lights, just made everyone’s eyes that much more expressive.

2) Big bulky winter clothing makes checking out women much more interesting. I guess it is the fact that you take away the shape hugging element of clothing and you can really concentrate more on the exposed features, the hair, obviously as described above the eyes, the facial structure, the complexion, etc. I think the same thing applies when you are on the ski slopes; all women look good on the slopes with their snowsuits and sunglasses on, with their hair blowing in the wind as they swish down a mountain.

3) As last night was an office function, D’s eyes, hair, and rosy cheeks looked absolutely lovely under the lights and against the backdrop of her winter wear. In fact, I had a wonderfully filthy fantasy pop into my head as D and I chatted and flirted at our tailgate last night. I will have to transcribe it and put it on-line in the next week or so.

Have a great Thanksgiving!
