My wife was out of town this weekend, so I was at home with the two oldest kids. We had an absolute blast. We pitched a tent in my youngest son’s room and had our first “campout”. We had quilts, pillows and stuffed animals out the wazoo. There was hardly room for us to sleep. To my boys, this was the adventure of a lifetime!
At times like that, being a Dad is the best experience in the world.
The Chiefs play on Monday Night Football tonight. I will be going to the game, though I am not holding my breath for a victory. It would just be too sweet for the Kansas Jayhawks to rip the Missouri Tigers last Saturday and for the Chiefs to win on Monday night. However, the tailgate is the best part of the Arrowhead experience. I am leaving work around 3:00 to get a jump on the tailgate.
